Apple Pie

So this weekend I'm going to make my vary first home made Apple Pie. I'm not the best with baking so I hope it goes well. I will post the pic and recipe if i think it was a good apple pie...wait if my husband thinks it's a great apple pie he is my critic.

Crockpot

I love using my crock pot it is one of my favorite things to use. I work full time and my husband works two full time jobs. It is so much easier for me to use the crock pot to have a great home cooked meal ready when you walk in the door... I use a friend of mine Alicia her sisters blogger and I'm in love with it..it's called 365 days of slow cooking and it is so helpful she did a great job and I love the movie Julia and Julia because it reminds me of her blog. I have a fix it and forget it cook books and there are several recipes in there but need more new great KID friendly ideas. I have a 4yr old and trying to get him to eat anything it sometimes a battle. So if any ones reads this and has any great ideas for crock pot kids friendly ideas...Comments please :)

Crock pot dinner tonight is 4 chickens breast, salt, pepper and minced garlic with 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup and a can of cheddar cheese soup on low for 8 hrs i hope its good when we get home I'll report back :)

So dinner turned out ok not something that I will probably make again. I served it over rice.

Ione Train

The Scheller met up with us after church and we took off on a road trip to Ione Washington to take a 2hr fall train ride. Beautiful 60 degree fall day and hr and a half car ride and we get there and the train is SOLD OUT!!!!! OMG i was so sad i felt so bad that we drove all that way and nothing...The kids where sad :( We watched the train leave and then drove all the way back to spokane and went to ihop that made it all better for the kids. Next time we know to buy tickets before we travel all that way :)

Greenbluff and Friends

Went to greenbluff Saturday evening around 4pm with Andy and Lisa and the kids to pick out the perfect pumpkins to carve. What a beautiful day we got the best pumpkins took some pictures then heading backed to our house for some home made spaggetti :)

My soccer stud

Fall

I love the fall, but a little sad to say that we are not going to be able to have this nice fall 60 degree weather much longer. It's November now and we are almost done with Soccer, we have one more day this saturday the 7th and we will be sad to see it go but also its been a little colder not for the boys but the parents :) Matthew has done great at Soccer he has been scoring 2-3 goals each game and had improved more and more over the last 6 weeks. We will now have to wait until April to start back up for Spring season. In the mean time we will start back up with Swim lessions. Start hanging back at the Y since it's gonna start snowing soon i'm sure.

Mom had surgery :(

My mom left and went on vacation to Maui on Oct 16th that following thursday the 21st i got a call at work and my mom had been in the water in Maui and was trying to escape a big 7ft wave and was slammed to the ground and she felt a pop she thought we either broke her ankle or ruptured her achillies tendon. She called from the urgent are center and told me that she would be staying until they leave to come home on sunday that she is to be on aspirin and elevate and ice her foot and drink Mai Tai's heheh :)
She got home and I took her to NWOS and she was told her did rupture to achillies tendon.
She was set up for surgery that next day. Surgery went well she was told she shredded her tendon he fixed it all back up. She is in a cast and at home now recovering she is to be in the cast for two weeks and to have her cast taken off and stitches out then to be put in a walking boot.
Hope her recovery goes well and she is back on her feet soon :)

Trip to Seattle

Went over to Seattle for the Labor day weekend..We usually go that way for our bdays to see Erik, Mya and the kids. My mom came with us and Aaron's mom did as well. Piled in the Jeep commanader and we all fit...Had a great time left on a friday and got over there around 330. It was 88 degrees over there that day i don't think i have ever gone over here and it has been that HOT...So there was a pool at the hotel we stayed at and erik, my and the kids came to the hotel and went swimming we drank a LOT of wine and ordered pizza and swan...It was so much fun the kids swan and my mom until 9 and it was dark...it was so time to head to bed because we all had WAY to much to drink....

Next day got up a little late... :) But got ready and nursed our hang over with breakfast and then to down town seattle for the day. Went to have lunch at this little southern style resturante while we waited for all of us to go to the Seattle Underground Tour...The food was great and fun time with the whole family :) Underground tour a little lame but the history was interesting to most :) After that we took off further down town for dinner at the Crabpot but it was a 2hr wait so we went to the fishermans resturante instead. We famliy feast of shrimp and crab and it was amazing...A+++++

Sunday was the last day we went to breakfast at the Country Cottage Inn in Bothell we always go there and then went shopping for a NEW handbag at this designer handbag store that I LOVE...My mom bought 5 bags i think totally funny.

Overall great trip with the moms and can't wait for another road trip :)

The Big Wreck

About the end of August matthew was riding his bike outside with daddy. This car came around the corner a little to fast scared them both...aaron yelled to Matthew move to the side there is a care....Matthew got scared and decided to ride as fast as he could to get home and looking behind while ridig his bike and lost control of the the bike and fell over the handle bars and fell right on his faces..I was in the house and heard the scream every mothers know when there child is really hurt..Went running outside he was bleeding from his nose and mouth and was crying so hard. Went into the bathroom to wash up..nose stopped bleeding under his lip was so swollen that i could barely see anything..all his teeth are there thank GOD!!!! But worried that he may loose a tooth...He was all bruised up..Big bump on his head scratched up nose lips everything.

Training Wheels are off

My 4 yr old that has only been 4yrs old for maybe 15 days talked daddy into taking his training wheel of his bike. So he did and it only took us an hour of teaching him before he had it down. I was so proud of my baby boy that I cried...But i always cry :)

July

So far we have had an amazing summer. I have been working out since we have had a membership to the YMCA doing Zumba...I'm so addicted to it i can't even believe it. I have had such a hard time trying to find something that i like to do and this latin cardio base excerise is amazing. I've been working out at least 4 days a week and i have lost 13 lbs so proud of my self.

Matthew just celebrated his 4th birthday amazing i can't believe that my baby boy is 4. We had a water slide for his bday party that was a blast. Also had family in town Erik, Mya and the kids and went to Sandpoint to the beach. Matthew has been at Auntie Amanda's this week since Kim is closed and he has had an amazing time playing with his cousins.

Swimming lessions

Matthew start swimming lessions at the YMCA he is an amzing swimmer. Him and preston started out in the Eel class it's a beginers class for 3-5 yr olds. They had a very young teach name josh wasn't sure how they would do. But they loves Josh he was a great teacher. He learned a lot and moved on to the next class which was the Ray and so did Preston. No so happy with this class i don't think he learned as much he didn't have the same teacher the entire time every day there was a different teacher wasn't happy...But he did very well again and is now on to the Starfish level. We have not started this class yet because it is summer aaron and I started softball and i think we can practice at gaga's and auntie amandas pool for the summer. We wills start the swimming lessions back up in November or December.

YMCA

So went and checked out the YMCA last Saturday. It was wonderful and we ended getting a membership. We swam saturday and sunday and played a little basketball on sunday. We invited my brother, sister in law and the kids on Sunday to join us since we have free passes. They had such a blast that they signed up also :) The kids swan there little hearts out and then played basketball for a while. So glad we decided to join lots of things for the kids to do since we have such long fall and winter. Matthew is also signed up for swimming lesson he starts right after Easter on April 5th (my brothers birthday ) Amanda also signed Preston up for swimming lessons also and there are in the same class and the only ones so far in that class. :) More one on one atttention that will be great.

Matthews 1st trip to the Dentist

Monday I took Matthew to his very first dental appt. I took him to the Childrens Dental Village on Evergreen. He was a little shy walking in. They make it very kids feel really welcome and the whole office is set up as a jungle theme with animals and fish and a ship...So much fun and a movie on the TV to watch.
We went back with assistant and she was great with matthew he didn't have to lay down they just showed him how to brush his teeth with a regular tooth brush then they counted his teeth. Then we went into the xray room where they took pictures of his teeth he did very well also he sat there while they put the diferent films in his mouth. BIG BOY!!!!
The dr then came to visit us. He told me that Matthew has 6 sugar bugs...He will need to have two of them fixed for sure and 4 that we are going to have to watch and make sure they don't get worse. Mommy was a little nervous just because he has such a great time at the dentist. But i have to be strong for my baby. He will be going in in two weeks they will give him a little versad and Koolaid to make him sleep and not able to fight them.
We have been doing better on flossing and brushing even though we brush really well...Mommy isn't the best at flossing so we have it down now.

Good News

We went to the Dr again to f/u with his Croup since he still wasn't getting any better and also his smashed little fingers. Dr said that he needs to be on a steriod for three more days hopefully it will take the inflammation down so we can stop coughing so hard. He also said that the xray report was in that there are no broken or fx fingers. Thank you god. Told us to take the splint off so he can start using his fingers.
Matthew and I went to the store and he picked out spider man bandaides to wrap a couple of the fingers. He was a good boy let me take the splint off and put the bandaides on.
He is in bed and sleeping i hope he gets some sleep and mommy needs sleep to. :)

What a Weekend

We did not have a very good weekend. Matthew has been pretty sick for the last couple months.
We took him into the urgent care saturday afternoon since wasn't feeling well and coughing so much he was gagging. They sent us home saying that we just need to watch him. That evening at about 11am he was having diffuctly breathing turning red in the face and coughing so much that he wasbreaking little blood vessels in his face. We took him to Valley Hospital and they got him in right away. The staff was amazing there. They treated him with a steriod and zpack to hopefully help clear up the end of his ear infection and start helping him feel better. We got home at 130am.
Sunday Matthew woke up feeling much better still a little tired because my monkey no matter what time he goes to bed he gets up at 630am. We had an accident in the garage and he got his fingers caught in the garage he was holding on to the track and the wheels smached his pinky, ring, middle and pointer finger pretty bad. We washed it up pretty good, but deceided we should proabably get an xray of it to make sure everything was ok.
Another trip to Valley Hospital to get his hand looked at and they did an xray of it no broken fingers thank god! But they are pretty beat up they put him in a splint.
What a weekend is all i can say..........

Weather

We are just spoiled with this weather we have been having. I wake up today and it is sunny and frosty, but we have a nice high in the 50's day ahead of us. We planned going over to my brother and sister in laws for dinner this evening, but was canceled last night because Preston is pretty sick. :( So now are evening is free probably should get to my house cleaning since i had a pretty busy work week. Tomorrow is Sunday and we haven't been to Church in two weeks Matthew has been sick so we are going tomorrow. No other plans but to enjoy to enjoy this beautiful weekend.

2010

So this will be my first post since May 2009. WOW how time gets away from you. I want to post in my blog more so today i have deceided to let you know what has gone on in the last several months of 2009 and the new and wonderful thing that are going to happen in 2010 for the sanders family.
We had an amazing summer of fun in the SUN we took our boat a lot last summer probably the most we have in a long time. We also took our trail camping about four times last summer and we loved it. We went to my grandma property in Colville and hoping we can do more of that this year hopefully she doesn't sell it anytime soon :(. Matthew turned 3 last July we had a great BIG jumpy castle in the back yard and invited friends and family it was a hit :) had christmas with my family and the kids got the mother load of toys. Just very sad to say that we have only had a total of 12inches of snow this year. very mild winter we had a few days where it was very cold 0 degrees. But for the most part we have had sunny cold days.
We had to do a very hard thing and put our cat Dancer down two weeks ago, probably one of the hardest decision i had to make she was in Kidney failure and she was getting very skinny and weak and unable to walk very well. My husband was strong and took her down and stayed with her while the put an IV in her leg and injected a medicine the made her go to sleep forever! He said she did very well and that she isn't in pain anymore and she is in heaven. My poor poor baby girl she was our very first cat tha aaron and i got when we started dating and moved into our first apartment. I miss you missy mouse and your cute little face. Mommy loves you :)
It is the end of february and I'm loving everyday it has been in the high 40's and this weekend is suppose to be in the mid 50's and the high 50's and low 60's next week can not ask for better weather.
My new job in the Valley it is very nice that i only have about a 5min drive :) Have been with STS for 7 months now and Love it. I'm very glad to be back working with pt and being a medical assistant. My job is all hands on with pt's checking them in and taking care before and after there procedures. Getting a little training on the c-arm which i'm sure i will get more training on soon since they have a big north office being built and will be opening in May 2010. But for the most part was sure about starting another job and working with new people but i love it and everyone there is great. :)
We also have deceided to start going to church we attened this church in the valley called Eastpoint. We love it! Matthew is in sunday school and he loves going they sing song and learn things and do crafts. Aaron and I are excited that we decied to start going and are happy with the church we picked.
So i think that 2010 has started off great The Sanders :) More to come
